The buzz at the recent BETT education technology exhibition at Olympia was all about the use of tablets/ipads in teaching and learning. They present some incredibly interesting opportunities for teachers and pupils to share information and take advantage of a host of education-based apps. It comes as no surprise that the value of apps was always going to spread far beyond the tossing of scrunched up virtual paper into empty wastepaper baskets but it is only now that we starting to see just how far-reaching the tablet revolution is going to be.
An article in today’s FT explores the use of tablet computing by students on the MBA program at the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Where universities lead, schools will no doubt follow.
